With a change in location for the registration, and a slight shift in the start/finish lines, runners had a little more room to move around this year.
Many thanks to all of our supporters and sponsors! Instead of T-shirts, this year we had the RUN FOR YOUR LUNCH winter hats! Everyone looked great sporting their winter gear - we hope you enjoy them!
We are so grateful to our friends at North Congregational Church! We were hoping to offer a little something extra for guests of our runners and the "non-running" community by hosting a small craft and vendor fair. The hall at the church was still just a little too small, but that didn't stop our runners from enjoying over 12 gallons of homemade Clam or Corn Chowder!
With another beautiful New England day, with temps over 40 degrees, we had over 100 runners at the start line - and many were first time racers! We hope you had a good time with our race and CONGRATULATIONS to our top 3 overall finishers, the tops in all our age categories and above all thanks to EVERYONE who crossed the finish line!!!
Our volunteers - some who come for the race each year, some who are working with AAW all year long - are the foundation for us to keep doing what we're doing! Instead of listing them by name - so we don't miss anyone by mistake - a big, public THANK YOU to everyone who served lunch, worked in the cold, directed traffic, took pictures, rode bikes, and all the many, many things needed to make our one big day a BIGGER success! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
We had some new sponsors and some returning supporters which helps keep our mission running all year! All our sponsors will be featured at All Are Welcome for the next year - come try one of our weekly meals and if you get a chance, say THANK YOU by supporting one of our local business partners!
We're looking forward to continuing our ability to reach those in need through your continued support. Keep an eye on ALL ARE WELCOME for more good things to come and don't forget to save the date for the 2016 RUN FOR YOUR LUNCH 5.5k (always the Sunday of Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend) - January 17, 2016!!
